Ingredients

  • 2 cups Jasmine rice or Persian rice
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp salt

Instructions

  1. Measure the rice and boiling water.

  2. Place oil In a pot and let it heat.

  3. Stir fry the rice for 2 minutes. don't let the rice get brown.

    Add the salt and stir the rice once.

  7. Cook the rice for 15 - 20 minutes. Taste the rice after 15 minutes. if it is soft you can turn off the gas. if it still hard give it another 2 minutes and check again.

    Remove rice from heat and let it rest for 5 - 10 minutes. do not open the lid during that time.

  8. Using a fork gently fluff the rice.
